Enoch : An essay on angels

In the New Testament, the apostles Jude and Peter quote from an ancient book of prophecy called "The Book of Enoch". This book existed many hundreds of years before Christianity. It relates events in the time of Enoch - events that were also recorded in Genesis chapter 6. There was a rebellion against God, and angels descended to earth and co-inhabited with humankind. They taught people many secrets, including weaponry and witchcraft. They also co-inhabited with many other species. As punishment, God sent the Flood to wipe away their offspring, and undo their works, which had violated the natural order, and plunged the world into violence and corruption.
And He cast the fallen angels into a prison where they were to remain for
seventy Luke's gospel records that Jesus was born in the seventieth generation after Enoch. Was this the expected "Day of Judgement"? It is interesting that Jesus chose this very generation to come and save us from judgment. Download Book (PDF Format)
